Bi-Weekly Prayer Requests

August 26, 2010

We arrived home last night.  We had a very encouraging and wonderful time in France at the Christian Workers Conference.  It was a huge blessing.  We were also able to see friends in Switzerland and catch up with  them.  The Lord has been so good to us.

We can’t believe the summer is almost over.  Please pray for us as we transition into the fall.  We want to use the field for soccer and volleyball as often as we can before the weather changes.  Pray for good relations and talks which would bring everyone closer to Christ.

Pray for Laura as she prepares the last few things for homeschooling and begins homeschooling.

Thank you all!

July 31, 2010

The last couple of weeks of camp have gone really well.  Thank you for praying.  One last camp starting this Monday.  This camp will be for the kids from the village of Bod between the ages of 6 and 13.  Our kids will be able  to attend this camp, so that will be great.  Please pray for safety and for many of the kids to come to love Christ as their Lord and Savior.

We are working on the news letter this weekend, so that should be up soon.

At the end of August we will be traveling to France for the Christian Workers Conference and spending time with friends.  It will be a nice break.  We are really looking forward to it.  Pray for safe travels and for a good time of refreshment.

Thank you.  May God bless you by you knowing Him and love Him more everyday!

July 17, 2010

The OM teens mission camp was a great success.  The three boys who went to the camp learned how to give their testimonies and the gospel.  Then they were able to go out into the community and do it.  They loved it!

Fausto comes home today from the second camp where 11 adolescents from the youth center are attending.  We are very excited for him to come home and let us know how things went.

Fausto will have one week of preparing for the next two camps.  Please pray this week for preparations and for the camps the following weeks.

Thank you for your prayers.  The kids and I have been enjoying the warm weather and the wonderful rainfalls we have been having.

July 3, 2010

The OM teen missions camp started yesterday.  I am excited about the three teenagers who chose to come from our church.  They have a great desire to learn how to evangelize.  It will be great to see them doing this.  I can’t wait to see the growth Christ has planned for them this week.  Pray for everything to go well.  The camp continues until the 9th.

The adolescents camp is  from the 11th through the 17th.  So after the OM camp I will get to be home one day and then start the next camp.  This camp will include kids who have been coming to the youth center.  Pray for safety and for God’s protection all around. Thank you!

June 19, 2010

We have a contract now for the field next to the youth center.  The field is 2,300 square meters.  We went ahead and bought a lawn mower this week and I was able to mow the lawn this morning.  I also got some steel pipes to put up so that we could play soccer.  Please  pray for safety for the kids playing and for good relationships with the kids.

Pray for meetings this week.  The first camp starts two weeks from now and I would appreciate your prayers for that.

Pray for Laura as she has been struggling allergies.  She can’t go outside even for a few minutes without becoming sick.  God has been good in letting the rain come down every few days, which has been a blessing especially to her.  Thank you.

Pray for her as she works with Isaiah on his dyslexia.

May 22, 2010

Things have been super busy.  There have been a lot of meetings for the scheduling and preparing for the summer camps.  Please pray for us as we make decisions on when, where, what will be taught, etc.  So many very small details, that take a lot of time and coordinating with people.

I (Fausto) will be preaching on June 10th.  Please pray for God to speak through me.

Things at the youth center have been great.  Several have shown interest in coming to church.  Please pray for the churches to be welcoming to these non-Christian adolescents.  This would be our top concern right now.

Thank you for your prayers.  We will be writing our next news letter in just a couple of weeks, please pray about that also.

May 1, 2010

I, Fausto, am feeling better.  Still have a bit of a cough, but definitely better than before.  Laura isn’t feeling too well today.  She has a sore throat.  Pray that it is something that won’t get worse and for a quick recovery.

The adolescents group is having a campout this weekend.  The weather is perfect for it.  Pray for stronger relationships to happen.  I wanted to invite several of the youth who have been coming to the youth center, but the adolescents group made it clear that they weren’t welcome.  The kids who come to the youth center are poorer kids.  Pray for God to change the hearts of the adolescent group.  Pray that they will desire to reach out to these other kids.  It seems like several from the youth center have stated a desire to come to church.  But if the adolescents at the church make them feel unwelcome, well you know what that means.  It makes me mad.  Pray for God to use me in a way that will glorify His name.  Thanks.

On May 9th I will be speaking at the church we are using for the youth center.  The pastor will be out of town and has asked me to fill in for me.  Pray for God to speak through me, for Him to clearly guide me on what would be the most help to this congregation.

Thanks for your prayers!

April 16, 2010

We just posted our news letter so that will be the prayer requests.  It has taken some time to get this out this time because we were updating the Mi Casa es Su Casa website.  I am working on putting pictures on it right now.  Extremely time consuming.  Thank you for your prayers, we appreciate them!

April 2, 2010  Happy Easter Celebrations!  Jesus is Alive!  He has Risen!  Amen, Amen, Amen!  Come soon Jesus!

Westside Bible Fellowship asked us to send them a long list of prayer requests, so we have decided to go ahead and just paste those here.  In addition to these prayer request, please pray for us as we write the news letter this week.

Specifically for the Youth Center: Please Pray For
    Strong Christian volunteers who enjoy the adolescent age and desire to have friendships with them.
    Safety for everyone at the center.  It’s easy for things to get out of hand.  There have been a couple of times when it was necessary to close the youth center an hour early because of people who refuse to obey the rules.
    The use of the land to be used for soccer, basketball, and outdoor sports.  We have been able to rent the land outside, but the land isn’t suitable to play on at this time.  Pray for us to be able to make it suitable and for the funds to buy the sports equipment.
    Our church Betel to be active with us at the youth center.
    The guitar classes that Fausto is teaching to younger kids.

Specifically for our church Betel Pray for:
    People to grow in their love for Christ and for them to know Christ through His Word.  Our congregation has several members who are faithful attendee’s to every church service.   This is great, but there seems to be members who prefer just hearing what others have to say about God’s Word, instead of studying it themselves.  Pray for people to have a passion to soak up God’s word.
    Biblical sermons.
    Love and understanding between members.  Several changes are happening in regards to how the services are held.  Pray that these changes will encourage true worship and not encourage division in the church.

Specifically for the youth group at Betel Pray for:
    Christ’s light to shine in and through their lives.  At this stage in their lives there are many changes taking place and many things to distract them from living Christ centered lives.
    Sorin and myself (Fausto), as the leaders of the youth group.  Pray for us as we prepare and teach the lessons; for wisdom and understanding.
    Sara, the music leader of the youth group to have fresh ideas.
    Strong relationships.

Specifically for the church planting in Bod Pray for:
    A good place to meet.
    Adults and kids to come to the church, ready to hear  God’s Word.  For people to come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior.
    Team unity.
    Spiritual growth in the leaders and the younger members of the team.

Specifically for the Bible Study Laura Teaches Pray for:
    The ladies to grow in their relationship with Christ.
    God’s Word to penetrate their hearts. (They are going through the gospel of Luke)
    Good fellowship.
    Laura as she writes the next study which will be on the book of Acts.

Specifically for Mentoring Younger Believers Pray for:
    Danny Bahnareanu.  I (Fausto) have been mentoring him this year.  He has the desire to learn God’s Word, but he hasn’t been doing the reading or doing the lessons.  He wants it, but he isn’t doing it.  Pray for God to help him.
    Samira.  She was one of the young ladies I mentored last year and who stated she would like to continue doing Bible studies and praying together this year.  Samira entered high school this year and is being pulled away from God’s word, from the church, and her personal devotion to God.  All of her friends at school are not believers and she is under a lot of pressure.  Pray for her protection and for God to bring Samira close to Him.  (Her sister is in the hospital right now in critical condition with anorexia.  Her sister does not know Christ, pray for her too.)

Specifically for our Family Pray for:

    Quality time together as a family.  A healthy balance between family life and ministry.
    Good health and no bug bites!
    Us to please God in our everyday life, that we would not embarrass Him.
    Safety.  We have had a couple of scary incidents this month.
    Financial support.
    Home schooling.
    Abigail.  These are her words:  schooling; temper; patience; honesty; to make more friends and to have a good relationship with the ones I already have; to share Christ with others; and to not stutter when speaking Romanian.  (Also to be a good help to Esther who is leading a Bible study with friends.)
    Esther.  She decided to teach a Bible study with her friends.  She has Daniel, Rebecca, and Rachel coming to the study.  Abigail is helping.  The kids who are coming do not know Christ as their Savior.  Please pray for God to open their hearts and minds to Him.  It has been rather heartbreaking for Abigail and Esther to hear what these kids think of Christ.  Many times the kids want to rush through the study so they can go do something else.  Pray for God to give Esther and Abigail patience and wisdom on how to share Christ with their friends.
    Isaiah.  Mainly for safety as he plays rough games, schooling, and also for self control.

March 13, 2010

It has been a very cold and snowy week for us here in Romania.  The kids are anxious for better weather and I, Fausto, just love the snow.

Please pray for volunteers to come to the youth center.  We know that with the bad weather that lots of kids enjoy coming to the center but very few volunteers want to come out.  We need more help and ask you to pray with us for this.

Laura has a cold she is battling and feeling exhausted.  Pray for her to feel better and to get her energy back.

Thank you.

February 26, 2010

The youth center is up and going!  It has been great.  Many of those who came before are coming again and we are also getting a whole bunch of new people because we are in a different location.  Things have been a bit crazy.  We seem to be really filling the place up.

The building is very small and we have decided to rent another place for storage that could also be used as an office.  We know that this will be an added expense and pray for the Lord’s provisions.  Please join us in that prayer.

The guitar classes have been going great.  Several people have donated their guitars and allowed us to use them for the classes.

Pray for good communication and for Christ’s love to fill  us that we may pour it out.

Pray also for scheduling.  Now that I am doing the youth center, I am also still doing a variety of other things.  Which means my time at home has been a lot less.  Pray for God to give us guidance on how to prioritize our time, etc.

Thank you!

February 12, 2010
We are having Isaiah’s birthday slumber party this evening.  He turns 8 on the 15th.  Pray he has a great time and that his next year will be as wonderful as this year!

Next Friday we will have Esther’s birthday slumber party.  She turns 10 on the 17th.  Pray for all to go well and that her next year will be full of the Lord’s blessings.

The college group meeting that was to happen last Tuesday was cancelled two hours before.  A typical Romanian moment, but now I am better prepared.  Pray that whenever it does actually happen, for  the Lord to speak through me and for His word to penetrate these ladies hearts.

Thank you.

February 7, 2010

I, Laura, will be teaching the women of the college group at Betel about how to be a good helper to your husband this Tuesday at 8pm.  I would appreciate your prayers.  Thank you!

January 31, 2010

Our news letter is now updated and there are many prayer requests within it.  Thank you for praying for those things.  One thing we didn’t put in the news letter is that we have been having a lot of car trouble.  It is once again in the shop.  We believe that now is a good time to look into buying a better used car.  Please pray that God would guide and direct us to the right car and that He would provide a way for us to buy one.  Thank you again for your prayers!

January 16, 2010

You may have noticed that we haven’t written our news letter yet.  We are waiting to find out about a place we are thinking of renting.  It would be great to write in the news letter that we found a place.  So the plan is that we will write the news letter in February, no matter what the news is.

Pray for Laura as she puts together the Luke study for the women.   Betel has also asked her to teach a session to the women about being a good helper to their husbands.  Pray for her as she prepares and that it will be a blessing to the women.

I will be teaching a class today and next month to a group of students at two different churches.  Pray for me as I put the material together.

Thank you.

January 2, 2010

Happy New Year!  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration.  Our Christmas was very enjoyable and the New Year was spent with the Adolescents Group.  We all had a great time.

There are a couple of places that have gone up for rent that we are looking into.  One place seems to be pretty good.  It’s a bit small, no place for outside activities (like basketball), and it is two stories.  Hard to keep an eye on everything when there are two stories.  Please pray that we will make the right decisions.

We will be writing our news letter in the next couple of weeks so be expecting that soon.  Thank you and God bless.  May God increase your love and knowledge for Him this year!

December 12, 2009

Please continue to pray the same prayer requests.  Plus good health for everyone.  We all have been battling colds.

Fausto is speaking tomorrow at a church in Herman.  Pray for God to speak through him.

After the service tomorrow Fausto will go to Aradia (8 hours away) and will hopefully be back Tuesday night.  There is a man in our church who needs to be taken to the hospital there in Aradia, so Fausto volunteered to take him.  Pray for a safe trip there and back.

The adolescents are working together on getting a New Year’s slumber party ready.  Pray for everything to go smoothly and for this to be a time of unifying the group and having relationships deepen.

Thank you for your prayers.

November 28, 2009

Well, both apartments fell through so we won’t be able to use them for the center.  We haven’t been able to find a single place for the youth center.  We are trying to not get discouraged and are waiting upon the Lord.  Pray for patience and for  God to make things very clear to us.

In the mean time, I have decided to work with the Bod team.  Bod is a small village, not far from us.  Our church, Betel, has been doing a church planting there.  I was very involved with this a couple of years ago, but when the youth center started going, I had  to back off quite a bit.  Now I am  back into it.  Pray for us as  we reach out to this village.  Pray for unity on the team.

Thank you.

November 14, 2009

We found two different apartments that we could rent and use for the youth center.  One of the apartments is much better than the other.  But that apartment might be rented out already.  The apartment would be big enough, the only down fall is that the location isn’t the best.

Please pray for God to clearly show us what He desires.  We don’t want to be like Abraham and Sarah who took things into their own hands, instead of waiting upon the Lord.  Pray for the Lord to close doors and open doors, for Him to make it clear.

Thank you.

November 7, 2009

We have just posted our next news letter.  All our prayer requests are there so we won’t add anything here for another two weeks.  Thank you for your prayers!

October 23, 2009

I was able to preach on Thursday evening and will be able to speak on Sunday morning.  Please pray for the Lord to speak through me and that people will leave the service with more love for Christ in their lives.

Continue to pray for wisdom and guidance as we look for a new place for the youth center.  We will also be writing our newsletter this week.  Pray for that to go smoothly.

Thanks.

October 16, 2009

Well, praise God, immigration decided not to charge us the taxes for the kids.  This is a real miracle!  Thank you for praying.

Please pray for us to not get discouraged.  We are still looking for a place for the youth center, looking into plots of land, etc.  Pray for God to make it clear to us what He desires.  We desire to please Him in all we do.  We could really use some direction.

Thank you.

October 9, 2009

We have been approved for a one year visa.  We turned everything in on Friday.  There is a 210 euro tax for each of the kids, that they didn’t make us pay.  They said there is a possibility that they might change their minds in the next month and make us pay that, so please pray that they will not make us pay the 630 euros.

The doors have completely closed for us to use the building we used last year for the youth center.  We are looking into several different things and would greatly appreciate your prayers.  Pray for the Lord to make His will clear to us.  This is what we are praying for.  Thank you!

October 1, 2009

Thank you all for your prayers for us.  The lady owning the building is still asking for 1,000 Euro’s.  We are hoping that she won’t be able to find anyone who can pay that amount.  Sadly that means we are in the mode of waiting and being patient.  We are looking to other buildings to rent, but haven’t found anything yet.  Please pray for the Lord to guide and direct us.

Laura is working on writing a Bible study on the book of Luke for the Women’s Bible Study.  Please pray for that to go smoothly.  She greatly desires for the study to not only be a blessing to her as she writes it, but for it to be a blessing for the ladies who will take it.

We meet with immigration on Monday.  Pray for the visa’s to go through without any problems.  They are rather costly and we are already rather tight on our budget.  Pray for the Lord to provide.  He is so awesome!

Thanks again for your prayers.  May the Lord  bless you.

September 25, 2009

Still no contract on the building.  She is asking for 1,000 Euro’s per month and that is more than we can pay right now.  Pray for God to give us wisdom and for Him to guide us to know what He desires for us to do.

Thank you for your prayers!

September 19, 2009

The lady we used the building from last year has now officially signed all papers to own that building.  Now that the building is hers she can make a contract with us.  I have a meeting with her this Wednesday to discuss the contract and the rent.  She was asking for a very high price a few weeks ago, please pray that she would be willing to go down on that price.  This is our major prayer request this  week.  Thank you for praying!

September 13, 2009

We had a terrific visit with Peter Mead this week.  He taught at a conference in Sibiu that I was able to attend.  After the conference he was able to come and spend Saturday and Sunday with us.  He flies out tomorrow, Monday.  Please, pray for a safe drive to Bucharest and a nice plane ride home.

We won’t be opening the youth center tomorrow because we are still working on getting a contract for the building.  Please pray that the cost that they want to rent the building for will be less than what they are asking for now.  Please pray for us as we negotiate and for the Lord to provide for what we need.

Laura begins to home school this week.  Please pray for extra patience and for everything to run smoothly.

Thank you for all of your prayers!

September 4,2009

Thank you for your prayers.  We are  safely back home in Romania.  That was a very fast few months.  Thank you again for your prayers.

This week we wil be meeting the lady who is in charge of the building for the youth center.  She has asked for a large sum of money to use the building.  A sum that we do not have.  Please pray that as we meet with her God would give us His wisdom and guidance.  We really aren’t sure what is going to happen, but we know He is in control and we can trust Him.

We will also be writing our news letter this week.  Pray for that to go smoothly and for us to have good contacts here in Romania again.  Thanks.

July 28, 2009

I apologize for not being able to update this on a regular basis this month.  We are doing lots of traveling and meeting with lots of people.  Please pray for safety on the roads and for our speaking engagements.  I am speaking tomorrow in North Carolina tomorrow, Aug 8 and 9 in Seattle, and we fly back to Romania on the 10th.  Once we get to Romania we will be driving to France for the Christian Workers Conference.  Please pray for stamina and for us to be a blessing to those we spend time with.  Thank you.

I will probably not be able to put updates for the prayer requests until the beginning of September.  We will also probably not get out another news letter until September.  Thank you all for praying, we need you.

July 4, 2009

Thank you for your prayers, the places we were able to speak at in Tijuana went very well and we had a very nice drive back home.

I (Fausto) flew to Tijuana on Friday and I am speaking today in Mexicali, Baja California.  On Wednesday I will speak at two different churches in VeraCruz; on Thursday I will speak in Tehuacan; on Sunday in Guadalajera; and on Tuesday in Tijuana, Mexico.  I will be driving tons of miles to get to each of these places.  Pray for safety on the roads, cool weather, and for the Lord to speak through me.  Pray that Christ will be revealed.

On Wednesday the 15th I will fly back from Tijuana to Portland, Oregon.  Laura and the kids will be staying in Portland while I am gone.  Pray that I will be able to survive without them.  I miss them already.  Pray that they will have a nice time with family and friends.

Thank you for your prayers.  We appreciate and need them.

All for His Glory,

Fausto and Laura

June 21st

Thank you all for your prayers.  We had a very safe and enjoyable trip from Romania to Portland, Oregon.  The kids did really well on the plane. We drove from Portland to Rosarita, Mexico, where we are at now.

It was very nice to speak at Sun Valley Church in Lafayette on the 17th.  They are a great blessing to us.

I spoke last night at a church here in Rosarita.  It was a good time of fellowship together.  I will be speaking again today and on Tuesday.  Laura will also be speaking on Tuesday with the ladies.  Please pray for us during these meetings.  We are all a bit tired and we want to make sure that everything we do is in expression of what Christ has done for us.

Thank you for your prayers.  We will begin driving back up to Portland, Oregon on the 26th.

June 12th

It’s been a good week.  The youth center had a going away party for us today.  It was a very nice time together.  It’s nice to know that we will be missed and that people are excited about us coming back!

Please pray for us on June 15 to have a good flight from Romania to Portland, Oregon.   Pray for it to be an enjoyable flight for the kids too.

On June 17th I will be speaking at Sun Valley near San Francisco and on June 21st I will be speaking in Tijauna.  Pray that I will clearly share the things God has been doing.  Pray for people to come closer to Christ, that Christ would speak through me.

Pray for Laura on June 23rd as she speaks to the ladies in Tijuana.

These are some great opportunities the Lord has given us.

Pray for us to have a safe drive up from Mexico to Portland, Oregon.  We want to be back in Oregon on June 27th.

Thank you for your prayers.  We will try to put up biweekly prayer requests for the next couple of months.

Oh, please continue to pray for our kids, they still have that bad cough!

June 5, 2009  Please pray for our kids.

Isaiah has had a cough for over a month now, Abigail and Esther for a couple of weeks.  Their lungs sound good, but nothing seems to be working to get rid of this horrible cough they all have.

We ask you to please for them.  Pray for complete healing and for this cough to finally go away.

Thank you.

May 29,2009

We want to thank so many of you who have been faithfully praying for us and the adolescent group.  Last week we shared with you that there were two adolescents that might leave the church and we knew it would take a miracle for them to stay, that is why we urged you to pray for them.  Praise God He has been working in their lives and those who are involved in the situation.  Both adolescents have continued to come to church.  One of them said,  “I realized that God doesn’t want me to leave the church and I feel a real sense of peace.”   This is a peace during a time of complete chaos for her.  We know that this peace is from God, and we know it is in answer to your prayers.  Thank you!

Chris Wisehart, Laura’s Dad will be flying into Romania on Sunday.  Please pray that he will have a safe trip here and an enjoyable time.  Pray for good health for him.

Laura hurt her back yesterday and is in a lot of pain.  Please pray for her to have a quick recovery.

One last thing, we will be writing the June news letter this weekend.  Please pray for us as we put everything together.  Pray that everything will flow smoothly and that the news letter will be a blessing to all those who read it.  Amen.

May 22, 2009

The time together with the adolescents last Saturday was a really good time.  But then on Tuesday night the gossiping and lying escalated.  It will take a miracle for the two adolescents to decide to stay with Betel as their home church.  Pray for this miracle to happen.  We have met with them and have been praying with and for them continually this week.  What has been done, is awful and they certainly don’t deserve what has happened.  Pray for the gossiping to stop and for people to repent and forgive.

This next week is the last week for homeschooling for this year, until September.  Please pray that the week will go well.  We have been really pleased with how well home schooling went this year.  Praise God!  Laura is working out all the small details for the homeschooling for next year.  Pray for her as she finalizes everything.  We would love it if by the end of the school year we could say that the kids had a really balanced schedule and grew in their love and knowledge of God.

May 15, 2009

Tomorrow the youth group will be working together in cleaning surrounding areas.  Pray that this will be a good time of fellowship and service.

There has been some gossiping within the church that has really hurt the feelings of a couple of adolescents in our group.  It has become so bad that these two have stated that they may leave the church.  This is really heartbreaking and ever so sad.  Pray for God to resolve these situations.

We have an awesome God, pray we will reveal that love through everything we do.

Thank you for your prayers!  Let us know how we can be praying for you.

May 8, 2009

Thank you for your prayers!  The retreat was a really good time of fellowship, thank you for praying.

We had a safe trip to Hungary and back.  The police stated that we didn’t have to pay the $4000!  We now know to make sure that doesn’t happen again!

Pray for the outreach that will happen at our church Betel on June 1st.  They will have a soccer tournament and will have  many kids programs on that day.  Pray for the preparations and that God will soften the hearts of all those who will hear the gospel, the salvation we have in Christ!

Many of the people in the prison will be getting out this week.  Please pray for them to stay close to the Lord.  Several accepted Christ in the prison and have been following Him closely, while they are incarcerated.  Pray for them to stand firm.

Thank you.

May 1, 2009

The youth group retreat is this weekend.  It begins tonight and will continue through Sunday.  Please pray that this will be a good time together.  Pray for relationships to strengthen, and most importantly for people to come close to Jesus.  Pray that we will be able to see spiritual growth in all theses teenagers.  Pray for the speakers and for everyone to be a blessing to one another.

On Monday we, the Huerta’s, will need to cross over the border to Hungary to receive a three month visa.  We did this on February 18th and thought we had till May 18th, but since we crossed the border during the time we had a one year visa (that didn’t expire until April 2), the three month visa does not apply.  We had been told we would be fine, but on Thursday we received a call from the police department stating that we now owe $4000 for being here without a visa.  They stated that if we went over the border and received a three month visa, than we might be o.k. without paying the fine.  Please pray that we will have a safe trip there and back.  Also pray that we will not receive the fine.

Thank you all for your prayers.  Praise God we have a loving FATHER.

April 24,2009

Thank you for praying for our Easter celebration.  It was really very nice.  There were many people at the church and the message was very well done.  Thank you for your prayers.

Thank you also for praying for us in finding a health insurance.  We found one that I think will do nicely for the time we are in the States, and it was at a reasonable price.

Next weekend the youth group is going to have a retreat.  Please pray that this will be a good time for bonding and for enjoying the Word of God together.  We and the team are really looking forward to it.  Please, pray for safety for the youth.  There are a couple who are experimenting with smoking and drinking.  Help us to know the best to talk to them and for them to overcome this temptation.

Thank you again for all of your prayers!

April 17, 2009

Romania celebrates Easter this Sunday, April 19th.  Please pray that the services would give a clear gospel message and that many who don’t regularly come to church, would come this Sunday.  Please pray that God would soften people’s hearts and that many would accept Him as their Lord and Savior.  What an exciting time to explain that Easter is the day when Christ was raised from the dead!  Sins are forgiven!  Christ is Alive and it is possible to have a loving relationship with Him!

This week I am going to focus on finding a health insurance for the time we are in the United States.  Please pray for us as we go through the many different insurances.  Pray we would find one that is inexpensive and is sufficient to meet our needs.

Thank you!

You won’t need to pray for visa’s for a little while.   Our association for the youth center wasn’t approved as a “religious organizaiton.”  Which means we will  not be able to get a five year visa.  They are only giving out five year visa’s to religious groups.  So we have decided that in a few weeks we will drive over to Hungary, which will allow us to stay in Romania for an additional three months.  At that time we will be in the United States.  So we won’t try getting our visa’s again, until after we come back from the States.   Which means at that time, we will be asking you to pray for us again in regards to visa’s!  It is nice to have a small break from the frenzy of getting visa’s.  God knows what is best.

Thank you for praying for Chris.  He is doing really well and is recovering well.  Thank you.

Have a great week.

April 3, 2009

Thank you for your prayers for Chris Wisehart, Laura’s dad.  He is recovering from his surgery very well.  He is already back at home.  Please pray that the surgery was a complete success and for a quick recovery.

Pray for us as we write the April news letter and have it translated.  Praise God with us for the people who mail them out for us in the United States.  They are a great blessing to us.

Continue to pray for us to get a contract on the building we are using.  And for us to receive a five year visa.  I know that these are requests we have asked for in the past, but we would appreciate you praying for theses things until we have them.  We will keep you updated.

Thank you all for praying for us!

March 28,2009

Well, we still don’t have a contract for the building and now there seems to be a possibility that we won’t get one.  We began looking at other buildings and getting quotes, etc.  Please pray for the Lord to direct us to the right place.  We would like to stay where we are at, if it’s God’s will.  Pray that we would get a contract soon.

Things at the youth center are going very well.  We have a lot of people coming and we could use some more volunteers.

Thank you for your prayers.  We would also like you to pray for Chris Wisehart, Laura’s Dad.  He goes in for surgery on April 3rd.  Pray for the doctors to have wisdom and for everything to go smoothly.

March 18, 2009

We are very near to getting a contract for the building.  The new person in charge of the building really likes what we are doing and wants to get us a contract.  She needs to get some paperwork to the city government and then we should be all set.  Please pray that all of this will go smoothly.
On Friday a group of adolescents decided to make schnitzel and French fries for everyone at the youth center.  We all had a great time.
Laura and Abigail had a cold this week, but are now doing much better.
Thank you for all of your prayers, we appreciate them.
March 13, 2009

It has been an encouraging week.  We have been praying for months that the Lord would provide us with some volunteers at the youth center.  Praise God there are two people who are willing to volunteer.  Both said they would be available for two days a week.  This means that four days out of five I will have some help.  This is a huge praise.  Thank you for praying!  Thank you Lord!

Please pray that the volunteers will enjoy the work.

We received a request from Christian Missions in Many Lands to write an article for their magazine.  Please pray for Laura and I as we put into words some of the wonderful things God has been doing.

We are working on a schedule to visit churches in the United States while we are there.  Pray for God to guide us and for us to make wise decisions.  We will be in the States from June 15th through August 10th.  If you would like us to speak at your church while we are in the States, please send us an e-mail and we will contact you as soon as possible.  We would love to share with you in  person some of the great things God has been doing and some of the challenges we have been facing.

Thank you for your prayers, God has been so good.

March 7, 2009

Thank you all for your prayers in regards to our taxes.  There was a mistake and we didn’t owe as much as we thought we were going to owe.  Then the Lord gave us exactly the amount we needed to pay the taxes this month.  Praise God He does do the miraculous!  Thank you all for your prayers!

There were 42 adolescents at the youth center last night.  We all had a great time.  More and more people have been inviting their friends.  It has been awesome.  It also looks like we have two ladies who are willing volunteer on different days.  They tried it out this week and they are a great blessing.  We are greatly encouraged!

My car was broken into this week, right in front of the church.  I was on my way to the youth center after church only to find the side window was broken and someone had stolen my backpack that has my laptop in it.  So we lost a laptop, a camera, a hard drive, and some usb sticks.  The police were friendly, but I most likely won’t get my stuff back.

My grandfather also passed away on Thursday.  Pray for those at the funeral in Mexico to draw close to God.

Our God is great and we praise Him that we are in His Hands.

February 28, 2009

Our passports are already in Bucharest, so we will pick them up on Tuesday and begin the visa process again.  We appreciate your prayers in this.

We would also like you to pray for our tax situation.  We owe a large amount more than we had anticipated.  Please pray about this.  We aren’t sure what we are going to do.  Pray for wisdom and for God’s provision.  God can do amazing things, including having Peter pull a fish out of the sea with a drachma in his mouth!

Thank you for your prayers.

February 21, 2009

Thank you for your prayers for us this week.  We were able to go to Hungary and get our passports stamped for a three month visa in Romania.  We then were able to go to Bucharest and apply for new passports.  Everything went smoothly.  There was tons of snow on the roads all the way there and back, praise God we have safely arrived home.

Please pray for us this week as we look for flight to the states.  Pray that we also are able to schedule things in the States wisely.  We desire to spend as much time with people as possible.  Thank you for your prayers!

February 14, 2009

We hope you all had a great week.  Thank you for your prayers about the visa’s.  This will probably be an ongoing prayer request for a little while.  Romania is now giving five year visas, but there is one problem: our passports expire before the five years.  We are going to try to get our passports updated through the American Embassy in Bucharest.  The problem there, is that it will take over a month to get the passports back.  So we will be taking a trip to Hungary this week to receive a three month visa so we will be able to have enough time to receive our updated passports to get the longer visa.

Please pray for us to have a nice trip to Hungary together.  We are thinking that this will be a great time as a family and are really praising God for allowing us to have this time.  We leave on Monday and will be back on Wednesday.  We will then go to Bucharest either on Thursday or Friday to try and get our passports updated.  Please pray that everything goes well.

Thank you.  Please let us know how we can be praying for you!

Fausto and Laura

PS Esther and Isaiah both have their birthdays this week.  They are going to have a slumber party tonight.  Pray that God will grow more and more in their lives.  Thanks.

February 7, 2009

Praise God we finished writing the news letter and we were able to get several e-mails from several people.  We thank you all!  Of course, there are a few we are still missing so please pray that the Lord will have them e-mail us soon.

We have had a great week.  The Romanians had vacation from school this week so we were able to do many activities with the youth group and the youth center was very full.  Please, pray that God would bring another leader to the youth center.  It would be great if there could be at least one other person who was willing to come for a couple of hours a week to help as a leader.

Also be praying for us as we get things ready to get our visa’s done.  There is a lot of paper work that needs to be done.

Thank you for your prayers.

February 2, 2009

I apologize for it taking me so long to update this.  Usually it is done on Fridays, but we have had some computer problems.  When we turned our computer back it showed our e-mail addresses blank.  If you enjoy getting our news letters and would like them e-mailed to you, please send us an e-mail fausto@allfohisglory.com.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  God is in control and he knows why this happened.  Definitely teaching us patience for one!

The Romanians have school off this week, which means it should be a very busy for us.  The youth group is going to take a long bike ride together on Tuesday.  That should be fun, pray for safety.  The youth center will most likely be very busy, pray for a good time for everyone, strong relationship ties to be made.

We will also be writing our news letter this week.

Thank you all for your prayers!

January 23, 2009

Our server went down on Thursday and is now running again.  Sadly, when it came back up it deleted all of our e-mails that were in our e-mail box.  If you have sent something to us recently we are sorry that we weren’t able to receive it.  Please, e-mail it to us again.  We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Please pray that if people sent us e-mails that they would e-mail us again.  This is extremely frustrating to us and has never happened to us before.

Thank you for praying for Mike.  He is now going through chemotherapy.  Please continue to pray for him.

Christina is a teenager in our youth group who had leukemia when she was young.  After chemo and radiation, she was cancer free.  All last week she was hospitalized and is now waiting the results to find out if the leukemia has come back.  Please pray that the leukemia has not come back and for their family to be strong in the Lord, no matter what the results.

Please pray for us as leaders of the youth group.  Last week we had our first leaders meeting which included myself, Laura, Sorin, Dana, and Sara (who is in charge of the music).  The first meeting went very nicely.  Please pray for us to be a strong team and for us to lead these adolescents closer and closer to Christ.  We long to see non-Christians saved and Christians to be walking hand in hand with Christ.  Thank you.

Also, pray for us as we begin to write our news letter for February.  Time goes by ever so quickly and there is always so much to do.  Pray God would give us guidance in all we do.  Thank you.

All for His Glory, Fausto and Laura

January 16, 2009

We want you all to know how much we appreciate your prayers.  We are all doing very well.

We would like you to pray with us for a family that is living in North Carolina.  They are precious and dear friends to us: Mike and Janet.  They have two young boys Titus and Simeon.  Mike has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease.  His own mother died 11 months ago with this cancer.  He thought he had a cold that just wouldn’t go away, only to find out that he has a tumor the size of a softball on his chest.  He has many blood clots.

They are trusting the Lord in amazing and truly beautiful ways.  Their first desire is for God to be glorified.  They have been using this as an opportunity to spread the love of Jesus to all those who are involved.  WE have been very humbled and encouraged with how they have been taking everything.

Please pray for God to be glorified in all of this, pray for Mike to be healed, pray for Janet and their wonderful boys.

Praise God that he knows all things and He loves us and Knows what is best for us in every situation.

If you would like to receive updates for Mike, let us know and we can forward their e-mails to you.

We are truly privileged to know them and it’s hard we can’t be there with them right now.

Thank you.

January 9, 2009

Even though I had the youth center closed this week, it was a very busy week.  Our church Betel had prayer meetings every night from about 6pm till 8pm.  How great it was to be able to attend these since the youth center was closed!  The youth center will be open again starting on Monday.

Please pray for the youth group this week.  The youth group will be in charge of the Thursday evening church service.  The youth group does this about once a month.  It should be a good time.  Pray for all the preparations to go smoothly and for us all to have a good time together.  Also, that we would be a blessing to others.

Thank you for praying for me in regards to knowing what I need to cut out of my schedule.  I have chosen to stop working with the church planting in Bod.  I had originally thought I could just help them out once in a while, but that isn’t the case.  You really need to do this full time.  I let the team know and they said they knew this might be coming, so they weren’t too surprised.  They completely understand.  Praise God.  Please, continue to pray for this outreach even though I won’t be involved there any longer.

Since Laura home schools from 8:30 till 3:00 and I leave for the youth center at 3:30, this doesn’t leave much time for us as a family; Laura has decided to change her schedule.  She has decided to have school from 7:30 till 12:00 and then will finish after I leave for the youth center.  This will allow us to have some family time between noon and 3:30.  Please pray for her and the kids as they adjust their schedules.  Change isn’t always easy, but it is sometimes for the best.

Thank you for praying.

January 2, 2009

Happy New Year!  Thank you for your prayers.  Our time with the youth group for New Year’s Eve was great.  We all had a wonderful time.

I have decided to have the youth center closed for next week.  There are things that still need to be fixed in the building before we can reopen.  This will allow me to spend some time with my family.  We are looking forward to a fun time together.

Please pray for me as I will be praying on what there is I can cut out of my schedule.  Right now I am doing about three full time ministries: youth center, youth group, and the Bod team.  There just isn’t enough time in the day to do all these ministries well.  Please pray for me as I try to find the answer God wants me to do.

Thank you.

December 26, 2008

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  We had a very nice time and a very busy week.  The time with the youth group was great.  Our time in Bod was challenging.  It just seemed like everything that could go wrong did, but we think that next year will be better.  Thank you for your prayers.

This week shouldn’t be quite as busy as last week.  The youth center will be closed this week and during that time it will be painted and will have a few upgrades done to it.  Please pray that the inspection done by the city will go well and will receive all the certifications that the center needs to have.

The youth group will be having New Year’s Eve together.  Pray for safety, strengthening of relationships, and for good wholesome fun.

Please pray for me as I try to find a better schedule for everything.  I may need to cut some things out and I am just not sure how I will do that.  I don’t seem to have enough time for Laura, my kids, the youth center, the youth group, and for the Bod team.  I spend time with each, but not enough to accomplish what needs to be accomplished.  Please pray for me as I try to find out what is best and what God desires.  Thank you all for your prayers.

Let us know how we can be praying for you.

December 18, 2008

Merry Christmas to you all.  Thank you for your prayers for us.  We can’t emphasize how much we appreciate and need them.

The Bod team will have a Christmas program on December 24th, the youth group will also get to do some Christmas caroling in Bod on the 24th.  Please pray for safety for everyone and that the sweet word of God will enter the hearts of those who hear the message.  Our God is so wonderful.

On New Years Eve the youth group will be meeting for an all nighter.  It should be a wonderful time together bringing in the New Year.  Pray for everything to run smoothly.

Thank you again for your prayers and may God bless you.  Have a Merry Christmas!

December 12, 2008

Many of the adolescents had exams this last week and will have exams next week.  Please pray that they will do well on their exams.  For the eighth graders these exams will determine which high school they will be allowed to attend and for the seniors it will decide what college they can go to, many are a little stressed right now.  We would appreciate you praying for them.

The building of the youth center will be renovated to meet the EU standards.  These renovations will be done during the Christmas break.  So the center will be closed for two weeks.  Pray that the workers will do a good job and for it to be finished in time.

The youth group will have activities during the holidays.  Pray for the preparations for the Christmas programs on December 24th and New Years Eve.  Many in the group have asked for prayers to be able to read their Bible and pray more.  Join us in praying for them.

December 5, 2008

Thank you for praying for us while we were writing the news letter.  Praise God we were able to write it, have it translated, and e-mailed out to everyone.  Thank you.

Please pray for us to use our time properly, between home, the youth center, Bod, the youth group, and other things that pop up.

With the youth group we are going through the book of Proverbs, please pray that we will all gain Godly wisdom.

Continue to pray for people to volunteer at the youth center.  We still don’t have anyone volunteering.  It would be a great help to have this.

Thank you for your prayers!

November 28,2008

The elders at Betel asked us if we were willing to be the youth leaders.  We have been praying about this for some time.  We thank many of you for praying about this with us.  We decided this week that we would be the youth leaders at Betel.  Please pray that we will glorify God in all we do.  There are many decisions that need to be made.  We believe we will go through the book of Proverbs together.  This should be a great book to discuss wisdom and there will be a lot of interaction between the adolescents and us.

The youth center is going very well.  The weather has been cold and it has been harder for people to leave their warm houses, but we still have been having a good number of kids come every day.

Please pray for us as we write our news letter this week.

Thank you for the prayers for the kids.  The dentist for Abigail and Esther went well.  They had a good experience.  Isaiah does need to wear glasses, so now he is looking very distinguished in his glasses.  The girls will have their eyes taken a look at probably during the Christmas break.

Laura has been writing the study on the Minor prophets.  She is hoping to finish writing the study on Zechariah this week.  It has been a bit harder than she thought it would.  Pray that she will ask questions that would bring people closer to God.

Thank you for praying for us.  We need you!

November 22, 2008

The snow is pouring down today!  The kids are already running outside enjoying the beauty.

Things at the youth center have been going well.  We are going to watch a movie tonight.  Please pray that everyone will have a good time and that relationships will be built through this out reach.

Isaiah has an eye appointment on Saturday.  Please pray that God will give him a good eye doctor and that he will be diagnosed correctly.  He has been rubbing his eyes a lot and they get tired very quickly.

Abigail and Esther both have cavities and will go to the dentist on Tuesday to get those taken care of.  Please pray for them to be brave and for them to have a good experience at the dentist.

We would appreciate prayer for Betel as they look for an adolescent leader.  There is one person who is considering doing it, but the youth have stated they will leave Betel and go to a different church, if this particular person leads.  Pray for us to have wisdom, on whether or not, we should be doing this ministry.  We are really strapped on time, but if this is what God desires for us, then we want to do it.  Pray for God to give us wisdom and guidance in this area.

Pray also for Laura as she considers helping the Sunday School.  They have one room for kids from 10 years old to 2.  The previous person who was teaching the kids has stepped down.  We would like wisdom and guidance to make the right decisions about this also.

Thank you for your prayers!

November 14,2008

The weather has gotten colder so we had a fewer amount of kids come.  I think we all are just adjusting to the change of weather.  Please, pray for the heating of the building.  We are trying a few different things to keep the building heated at a cost effective rate.  To use gas heating here is extremely expensive.  So we are trying some alternatives.  Please pray for this.

Today we had a nice bonfire outside.  It was a very enjoyable time together and I believe that next week we will show a movie on Friday night.  Pray that all these things will advance relationships.

We were planning on having the youth center closed during the Christmas vacation, but many of the kids have requested to keep it open.  Pray that we do the things that would glorify God and that we would have wisdom in everything we do.

November 7, 2008

Thank you for your prayers this week.  I, Fausto, was able to go to a ministry meeting at our church Betel and let the elders know how things are going.  The youth center is considered as one of the ministries of the church.  They were pleased to hear how things were going and we greatly encouraged each other.

On Friday we had a ping pong tournament that was a lot of fun.  We were hoping to have a small campfire outside, but it was too windy.  We all had a good time of fellowship together.

Please pray for the kids who come to have a good balance on their activities.  For a small time they were at the center almost all of the time.  Which isn’t good if they have homework and chores to do at home.  We are  excited that the youth are extremely happy with the center, but we don’t want to discourage anyone from doing their homework, etc.  Pray for us to also have wisdom.

The guitar class is up to 12 people now.  I have recruited two people to help teach.  It has been an excellent opportunity to reach out to more members of the community.

Pray for Laura as she writes a Bible study on the book of Habakkuk.  Thank you for your prayers for her, she was able to write a short study on Nahum.

Pray for everyone to stay healthy.  Laura and Isaiah have a cold right now and would love that to be done with!

Thank you for praying for us we greatly appreciate.

October 31, 2008

Another great week at the center.  Many youth are coming.  On Tuesday it was my (Fausto) birthday and there were 20 youth who threw me a surprise birthday party, it was great!

The Christian youth who have been coming to the center have started to invite their non-Christian friends to church.  In fact, we had a few new youth come to Betel last Sunday.  Please, pray that this will continue and that God would soften the hearts of the non-Christians.  Our ultimate desire is to see them accept Christ as their Savior.

Continue to pray for Betel to find a youth pastor.

Thank you for your prayers.

October 23, 2008

The youth center has been packed this last week.  There has been a great number of Christians and non-Christians coming.  Christians first bring their non-Christian friends to the center and then the non-Christians are coming with or without their Christian friends.  Everyone seems to be having a really good time and we are greatly pleased with how things are going.  Praise God!  We are so excited.

Now that it is colder and darker in the evenings, we would appreciate prayer for those coming to the center and going home from the center.  Pray for their protection.

Also, pray that conversations would be conversations that would bring people closer to God.  We had one incident where one person was trying to bash another church, Fausto immediately intervened and stopped this kind of conversation.  We just don’t want anything to happen that would discourage non-Christians from going to church or from coming to the center.  Pray that the Christians would be sensitive to one another and would be Christlike to each other and their non-Christian friends.

Thank you for praying, God has been answering in amazing ways.

October 17, 2008

The Lord has been answering your prayers.  We have more and more youth coming to the center.  Right now there are more Christians than non-Christians coming, so please pray that the center will be a place where non-Christians will feel comfortable to come too.  Please pray that we will be able to find responsible and faithful volunteers.

Pray for the Bod team to have unity and strength to continue to do what they have set out to do.

Betel, our church, is still looking for a youth group leader, please pray that the perfect person will fulfill this important need.

Abigail has here birthday slumber party October 18, 2008.  Pray that everyone has a great time.

Thank you for praying and praising God with us!

October 10, 2008

Thank you for praying for more kids to come to the youth center.  Praise God we had 30 youth come to the center yesterday!  It was a wonderful time.  There were people playing Uno, Rummikub, Ping Pong.  Everyone was having a really good time. Pray for this to continue.  We are greatly encouraged.

Please pray for non-Christians to come to the center and to feel welcome.  We want the center to be a place where non-Christians and Christians can come and have fun.  This is to be a place where relationships can be built and the love of Christ can be seen.  Thank you for your prayers.

Abigail turns 11 on October 15th!  Pray for her to continue to grow in Christ.

October 3, 2008

* Pray for more kids to come to the center, to have a good experience, for relationships to be built, and for opportunities to share the gospel with them.

* Pray for a contract for the building we are using for the youth center.

* Pray for safety for Fausto as he fixes up the building for the center and for friendships to be made with those who come to the center.

* Pray for Fausto as he teaches guitar classes and for opportunities to share Christ with them.

* Pray for Fausto as he disciples Mircia, Darious, and Claudio.

* Pray for Betel to find strong leaders for the teenage group at the church.

* Pray for the Women’s Bible Study group that Laura leads. They will begin doing a new study on Ephesians. Pray for new people to come and for it to go well. Also pray for Laura as she writes a new study on the Minor Prophets.

* Pray for Laura as she disciples Claudia, Samira, and Lacri.

* Pray for Abigail, Esther, and Isaiah for good health, growth in Christ, and for their homeschooling to go smoothly.

Thank you all for your prayers.

Fausto and Laura Huerta
