Grace, mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us!

Greetings from Fausto and Laura Huerta, April 2012

We hope you had a wonderful Easter celebration.  Our God is incredible to send us His Son to die on a cross for our sins.  Hallelujah Jesus has risen and is alive and working today!   May you love Him with all your heart, soul, and mind.

Church Planting in Bod
It has been impossible to meet outside because of the cold, snowy, and rainy weather.  We are closer to finding a place to meet.  A couple of months ago we couldn’t find a single place to rent or buy, but now there are a few places which could really work out well.  Pray for God to give us His guidance and wisdom.

In the very center of town, right next to the Mayor’s office, is a three bedroom house with a very large patio and a mini-soccer field in the back.  We are in the middle of negotiations for this house.  The rent is extremely reasonable, but it needs a lot of repairs, including: water, gas, electric, sewage, etc.  Pray for the contract to come through quickly so we can begin using the place right away.

Right next to this house is a kindergarten which isn’t being used.  It would be great if the Mayor would allow us to use that building.

On the other side of Bod (Bod Colonie) is a building right next to the Orthodox church that is being built.  We have given a letter of intent to the Mayor to see if we can rent there.  Pray for us to get the authorization to rent.

The amount of meetings and discussions to buy or rent anything is incredible.  Pray for us to have wisdom and for us to reveal Christ in everything we do.

Youth Group
We are studying the Gospel of John, this week we are on chapter 9.  Pray for the attitude of the kids, to have the desire of wanting to know God through His word.

Soccer
picture4The 2011-2012 season finished in March.  The nine teams were able to enjoy a nice ceremony where medals and certificates were given out by a Christian professional soccer player.  The gospel was given and several of the soccer players who accepted Christ gave their testimonies.  It was an exciting time.

Everyone is looking forward to the next soccer season after a short break.

Betel hosted an evangelistic luncheon at the end of March.  Both of my teams and both of the Bod soccer teams were able to come.  The boys had the opportunity of hearing the gospel again.  At this point they have heard the gospel several times, but many of them have hardened hearts.  Pray for God to soften them.  Holy Spirit please work in the lives of these boys.  Open their eyes, ears, and hearts to know and understand the great love God has for them.  Amen.

Youth Center - Mi Casa es su Casa
The guitar classes have been going great.  I now have thirteen regular students, plus a few who drop in for a class or two.  One afternoon a week is no longer adequate, so Mondays are for beginners and Tuesdays are for the more advanced.  I have a good mix of Christian and non-Christian students.  Pray for the music to be a blessing to them and for each of them to use the music for God’s glory.

Everyone is really looking forward to Spring and for nice weather so we can use the field outside.  We are hoping to play some sports and to attract a few more people.  Pray for friendships to develop and for us to be a blessing to all those God brings us.

We have been enjoying the use of the youth center for games and ping pong matches.

picture7The Women’s Bible Study

We have been enjoying the book of Proverbs together.  I think after a few more weeks we will start studying the book of Acts.  It would be nice to work on Acts and Proverbs at the same time.  Pray for God to give me wisdom about this.  The Proverbs study could last a lifetime, which it probably should!

Abigail, Esther, and Isaiah
Now that we are on spring break, I think everyone is really looking forward to the summer break!  Pray for stamina and for all of us to finish the school year well.

Thank you all for your prayers, may God bless you.
