Grace, mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us!

Greetings from Fausto and Laura Huerta, Feb. 2012

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years celebration.  The last couple of months have been full of praises.

Christmas Carolingchristmas-caroling
The Christmas Caroling was a fun time with almost 100 adolescents.  Many people opened their doors and listened to the praises of God.  We didn’t get to one of the  homes until 2am, but the lady had stayed up for us.  Petera said, “I knew you wouldn’t forget me.  You come to my home every year.”  This particular lady is a teacher at the high school and doesn’t know Christ as her Savior, yet.  It’s exciting that she still looks forward to Christians coming and singing at her door.  Pray for her to come to know the Lord.

New Year’s Youth Group Retreat in Valcea, Romanianew-years-group-for-webpage
The retreat helped us deepen relationships with the adolescents.  It was also a good opportunity for us to invite the girls who come to the youth center.  Those who could come integrated well with the group and have been continuing to come to the youth group meetings.  Thank you Jesus!

The Youth Group
The youth group has been growing.  Please pray for the groups dynamics.

Pray for the Spiritual growth of these young believers:
Boys: Ian, Ceepri, Andrei, Dani, Eurek, Darious and Edie (who just accepted Christ last Friday!)
Girls: Abigail and Alina

Since we have such a large group of non-believers we have been giving the gospel almost every week.  On Wednesday nights we have been studying the book of John together.  Pray for the salvation of these adolescents:

Boys: Marios and Alex
Girls: Emilia, Christina, Roxanna, Anca, Andrea M., Andrea L., Nadia, Lydia, and Lavinia

Baptism of Abigail, Ceepri, and Andreidscn3096dscn3105andrei-webpage11
Those of you who have been praying for the salvation of Ceepri and Andrei can praise God with us for their salvation.  They were baptized with Abigail on January 29th.  Please continue to pray for them, but instead of for salvation you can pray for growth.  Our God is marvelous.

The baptism of Abigail was a great encouragement to us.  She accepted Christ when she was 6 and wanted to publicly proclaim her faith.  She invited many, many friends.  It warmed our hearts to see how many lives Abigail has touched.  Her prayer at her baptism was, “Father I thank you for everything you have done for me.  I thank you for coming into my life and saving me.  Please allow my baptism to also bring others to you Lord; that they would see your life; that they would see your love.  I thank you for that Lord.  Please bless everyone here.  Amen.”  You can watch part of the baptism ceremony at

Church Planting in Bod
On January 13-15th we had a weekend retreat with the church planting team to discuss and pray for future developments.  It was a good time of prayer, unity, growing together, and encouragement.   Pray for the team to remain strong in Christ.  The team members are: Sorin, Fausto, Jenica, Mariana, Robert, Dana, Gabi, Claudia, Darious, Isaac, Madelina, Abigail, Annie, and Iurek

The church planting has gone through a slow period due to a lack of a place to meet.  The temperatures here have been really cold (-26 C / -15 F).  It’s impossible to meet outside.

A couple of brothers responded to our needs and made an offer where they are willing to match up $10,000 for purchasing a building.  This has been encouraging to the team.  God is faithful answering our prayers.  So far $4000 has been raised.  Pray for the needs to be provided for Bod.   Pray we will find an excellent location to build.  And pray that the church building will not distract us from our true purpose: showing the love of Christ to the people of Bod.

Women’s Bible Study
We begin the Proverbs study on Feb. 6.  Pray for many new ladies to come.  Some of the ladies who received invitations seemed extremely delighted, several of them are non-believers.

Pray the study would be a blessing to them, that this would be a good opportunity to for friendships to bud and for Christ to shine forth.  Also pray for me as I put things together and lead; I need wisdom.

Abigail, Esther, and Isaiah
Abigail has been very busy lately.  She is now in the 9th grade, attending the youth group, and is a member of the church planting in Bod.  Pray for her to grow spiritually and to keep her focus on Christ.

Esther turns 12 and Isaiah turns 10 this month.  Praise God for bringing these kids into the world!

Thank you for your prayers!
