Grace, mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us!

Merry Christmas from Fausto and Laura Huerta, Dec. 2011

We had a wonderful time in North America; many terrific and sweet memories for us to cherish forever.  There is never enough time to enjoy those we love.  It’s always hard to say goodbye and it’s a good reminder to us how incredibly hard it must have been for Jesus to leave His Father and heaven.  Christmas is an exciting time for us to celebrate the day Christ entered the world as a babe, but I wonder what it was like for God, especially knowing the heartache of betrayal and rejection which would incur upon His Son.  He was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice because of HIS LOVE for us; we are truly His dearly loved children!  (Eph. 5:1-2)

On November 10th we arrived back in Romania, surprised with neighbors who filled our kitchen with necessities and brought us enough food for a week.  Several different families brought us large warm meals just so we wouldn’t have to worry about cooking.   What a sweet blessing.

When we went to our church Betel on Sunday, one of the elders got up and said, “Hey, the Huerta’s are back.  Welcome back brothers and sisters.”  After the service we were all smothered in hugs and kisses.   We have received an abundance of encouragements the last few months, thank you all!

Visas
As soon as we got back we had to work on getting our visas renewed.  Praise the Lord after a few scares and lots of red tape; we now all have visas for one more year!

Youth Group
The Youth Group at Betel has increased to 24 (10 boys and 14 girls).  This year looks like a really good one.  The youth groups of two Brethren churches and two Pentecostal churches will get together and have Christmas Caroling starting December 21st thru the 26th.  We will also be delivering food to the elderly.

Last year the youth group from the town Valcea joined our youth group for the New Year’s Celebration.  This year we get to go to them.  The retreat will be from Dec. 30th till Jan. 2nd.  Please pray for it to be a good time of fellowship and a deepening of relationships in Christ.  The theme will be about making resolutions with the focus of living for Christ.

Church Planting in Bod

We really need a good place to meet.  The weather here has been extremely cold.  Please pray for God to direct us to a place where we can meet and be warm!

Youth Center – Mi Casa es su Casa

We are in our second phase for the soccer tournaments.  Pray for safety as we practice and play in the cold.  Our pole lights outside have been stolen once again.  We will need to replace those as soon as possible.

We will begin our regular activities shortly.  We are preparing the place and fixing a few things before we can open again.

Laura
The Ladies Bible Study is back to meeting on Mondays.  The ladies have asked us to do a review on the study, “Being the Wife God Desires.”  Then after the New Year’s Celebrations we will be doing a study on the book of Proverbs.  We want to invite several neighbors and friends, pray many women would join us in our study.   Pray for the study to be fun and enjoyable and, most of all, for God to touch the hearts of these women.

The youth group has really grown and there are several new girls in the group.  I would love to disciple a few of them.  Pray for doors to be opened for me to do this.

Abigail, Esther, and Isaiah are already enjoying their friends and happy to be back.  We started school on November 15th and since we were ahead before we left for the States, we are only a couple of weeks behind.  Pray for stamina and wisdom as they learn their material.

We are excited for Abigail who will be baptized on January 29th.  She accepted Christ as her Savior when she was six and is excited to publicly proclaim what Christ has done for and in her.  Please pray for Abigail as she grows in her walk.
